Ángel Rentería

I design and build end-to-end internal platforms that automate critical business operations. Currently at ARCO, I own technical systems for HR management, access control, and customer analytics— reducing manual overhead and enabling data-driven decisions across teams.

My work spans full-stack development with a product mindset: from architecting scalable SPAs to building reliable backend APIs and data models. I prioritize maintainability, system reliability, and measurable business impact over chasing the latest frameworks.

Before ARCO, I built enterprise systems at ADH, including logistics platforms and mobile apps for operational workflows. I hold a degree in Computer Science and am SCRUM Master certified.

HR Management System

Automated Vacation Management Platform

Problem: Manual vacation tracking created administrative bottlenecks, approval delays, and data inconsistencies across 200+ employees.

Solution: Built end-to-end system handling requests, multi-level approvals, balance tracking, and audit logs. Automated email notifications and PDF report generation.

Impact: Eliminated manual processing, reduced approval time by ~70%, and enabled real-time visibility for HR and managers.

Role: Solo engineer — owned full system design, implementation, and deployment.

Multi-Tenant CRM Platforms

Problem: Operations teams relied on spreadsheets and email for tracking critical workflows— no centralized data, limited visibility, and high error rates.

Solution: Designed and built multiple internal CRMs for different business units: entrepreneur registry, access control, customer surveys. Role-based permissions, audit trails, and Power BI integrations for analytics.

Impact: Centralized operational data, enabled cross-team reporting, and provided leadership with real-time business insights.

Role: Frontend engineer across multiple platforms — built user interfaces, state management, and integrations with existing backend APIs.

Field Operations Mobile App

Problem: Warehouse workers relied on paper logs for produce packaging workflows, causing delays, data loss, and inability to track real-time inventory.

Solution: Built cross-platform mobile app with offline-first architecture, barcode scanning, and automatic sync. Integrated with central backend for inventory management.

Impact: Digitized critical operational workflow, reduced data entry errors, and provided managers with live production metrics.

Role: Frontend mobile engineer — designed and built the mobile app interface and user experience.
